Through the PADI Turtle Awareness specialty course you will learn about:
- the role of turtles in the ecosystem
- 7 species of sea turtles, their habitats and population statuses
- issues contributing to population decline
- key characteristics of turtles
- responsible dive and snorkel practices during observation
- how you can promote sea turtle conservation

This course includes:
- 2 hour knowledge development session with PADI Instructor
- instructor guidance on 2 dives
This course offers the opportunity to learn about the 4 species of turtles which reside in this region.

Several nest in the long stretch of beach near Blue Guru Dive Centre. These species of turtles have survived since the age of dinosaurs and yet sadly numbers are in decline.

Participants will learn about the threats turtles face from man & nature and how they can participate in conservation efforts.
