Blue Guru Diving is a Thai Limited company with full membership of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT no. 33/03986). Blue Guru is also a member of the Thai Diving Association. Blue Guru's diving instructors are fully qualified and insured PADI professionals.

Below we outline the terms and conditions that apply when booking your Divemaster Internship with Blue Guru Diving. These provide you with information on the following:

• What you need to do to secure your booking.
• When full payment is required.
• What happens if you need to cancel your booking at the last minute.

What You Need to Know

All Blue Guru Diving Divemaster Internship courses are sold according to the following conditions

Making a booking

• Please provide all information requested to help us manage your reservation and booking as quickly as possible.
• Please book as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Our prices

• All of our prices are quoted and based in Thai Baht.
• These prices may be converted into British Pounds Sterling, US Dollars, Canadian Dollars, Australian Dollars and Euros for your convenience.
• It is possible to pay in other currencies although extra fees may apply.
• Divemaster Internship packages are inclusive of taxes. There may be a service fee depending on the payment method. See below

Paying for your Divemaster Internship

• Either i) a 30% deposit of your total Divemaster Internship package is required on booking and the remaining 70% of the payment must be paid in Thai Baht in cash on arrival.
• Or ii) the full 100% is paid upon booking
• There are two ways to make the initial payment – by electronic bank transfer or via PayPal.

• To make a booking via bank transfer, please contact us to obtain details.
• To pay via Paypal we will send you a secure link.

Exchange rate & service fees

Blue Guru Diving will charge service & exchange rate fees where appropriate.

• Paypal payments are subject to 4% fees on the following currencies : GB Pounds Sterling, Euros, US Dollars, Canadian Dollars, Australian Dollars
• Paypal payments are subject to 6% fees on all other currencies
• Bank transfers received in GB Pounds Sterling do not incur any fees where Blue Guru receive the designated amount without penalty

If you need to cancel your booking at the last minute

For courses, trips and packages provided by Blue Guru Diving the following cancellation policy will apply:

• Cancellations 60+ days before arrival: refund of 70% of total booking value
• Cancellations 30-60 days before arrival: refund of 50% of total booking value
• Cancellations 7-30 days before arrival: refund 30% of total booking value
• Cancellations within 7 days before arrival: no refund

What happens if we need to change your booking

• If a Blue Guru Diving Internship package is cancelled prior to the commencement date, due to circumstances beyond our control we will refund all money paid by our booked candidates

Our liability

• We act as an agent for hotels and in some cases transport companies and assume no liability in connection with their services.
• Blue Guru Diving will not be responsible for any act, omission, error or any injury, delay, irregularity, government regulations, theft or strikes over which we have no control.

Obligations of Divemaster Interns

• Blue Guru expects that DM Interns will put in the required effort to complete the DM course requirements.
• If DM Interns do not, Blue Guru will not refund any money for non-completion. If DM Interns need to stay longer to complete the course due to their own lack of work, a charge will be made for extra weeks' accommodation & tuition
• Exception If DM Interns need to stay longer to complete the courses due to illness or injury then there will be no extra charge for accommodation & tuition
• DMs Interns must own or rent all required dive equipment and must own all required DM course materials as stated in PADI DM Course Requirements. This should be ordered upon booking and paid for in full by the start of the course.
• DM Interns are expected to positively contribute to good customer service & the effective working practices of Blue Guru Diving by fulfilling allocated DM duties in accordance with dive centre standards.

Diving and Conservation Permits

Like with all great Natural Marine Parks around the globe, the local Governments and Authorities impose local Permit charges to all guest and visitors a like. Here in Thailand we have several marine parks of this type.
The following charges will apply to all our Divemaster Interns and will either be collected in advance or on the day of the activity:-

• For local diving in an around Koh Phra Thong Marine Park there are no extra fees payable.
• For trips to Koh Surin Marine Park. Entrance fees are charged at the following rate of 400Baht entry followed by a diving fee of 200Baht. Payment of entrance fees allows one week of access to the Marine Park.

Fitness/Professional Behaviour & Thai Law for DM Interns

All divers are required to be fit to dive, for their own safety & for the safety of our staff & other customers. Blue Guru reserve the right to refuse individuals to dive if they are not considered fit to dive. This includes being hungover or under the influence of drink/drugs, given the increased risks when diving in such a condition. In such circumstances, if re-scheduling of training is required to enable divemaster trainees to complete performance requirements when fit to do so, an additional fee may be charged. If divemaster trainees do not complete their training within the scheduled timescale and need to extend their stay to complete their training, an additional fee will be charged. If divemaster trainees do not complete their training because of being unfit to dive, unprofessional behaviour or lack of commitment to completing performance requirements, no refund will be given.

Divemaster trainees are expected to respect Thailand's national laws & cultural customs throughout their stay on Koh Phra Thong. Blue Guru reserves the right to ask an individual to leave if they are breaking national laws, causing serious offence to locals through disrespect of cultural customs or bringing Blue Guru into disrepute through inappropriate behaviour whilst living on Koh Phra Thong. In such circumstances, no refund would be given.
