Phra Thong Bay Bungalows

Phra Thong Bay Bungalows are a new choice for visitors to the island. The accommodation is made up of 4 bungalows located on the most stunning beach on Koh Phra Thong. Each beach bungalow comes with private bath from 1000 Bt a night. There is also a beach side restaurant & bar.

Phra Thong Bay Bungalows help

PT Bay is a 3 minute walk along the beach from Blue Guru Diving HQ. The only obstacle is a tidal channel which is empty at low tide and swimmable at high tide. Bring a dry bag or cross at low tide.

Please familiarise yourself with the area through our local transport and international transport pages. The Koh Phra Thong beaches page will give a broader idea of the layout of the island.

The pier at Baan Lions - Koh Phra Thong is accessible at all times. However, arrival 1-2 hours either side of low tide makes access more difficult. Please avoid arriving at this time where possible.

A transfer to/ from PT Bay is usually included with all accommodation. Pre-booking will ensure that you will be met at the pier. We can not guarantee this service on last minute booking.

For the first time travellers to the island paradise of Koh Phra Thong can stay in superior budget accommodation. The rooms at Phra Thong Bay are at a distinctly higher level than Mr.Chuoi or Phra Thong Nature resort.

More wood & larger balconies are features of all of the bungalows whilst proximity to the beach can only be rivalled by Golden Buddha Resort just a short walk up the beach.

Exclusive tropical beaches

The huts are generously spaced. Each benefiting from uninterrupted views of the sea and Koh Pling. The clear warm water in Golden Buddha Bay is sheltered from the open sea and offers good swimming, snorkelling and diving opportunities. The white sandy beach stretches for 15km. It is shared only with the exclusive Golden Buddha Beach Resort (1.5km to the south)

Phra Thong Bay

The sheltered Phra Thong bay stretches from the Blue Guru shop at the north western tip around to the spirit houses near Koh Pling. Sheltered bays such as this are rare along the west coast of Koh Phra Thong and even less have direct access from the beach to local dive sites around Koh Pling & Hornbill Rocks.

The sea is warm, shallow and safe for families. Parents can feel assured that their children can not get lost in the crowds because there are only a handful of travellers on the beach.
